Callie Blackwell is now one of the UK’s most recognised Cannabis Activists. The story of how Callie came to be such an advocate for Cannabis supplements is fascinating.
Callie chose to give her son Deryn Cannabis Oil and it ultimately saved his life. I first heard Callie talk about this experience at a Hemp and CBD conference in March.
Callie’s eldest son Deryn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2010, if this wasn’t bad enough 18 months later Deryn was told he had a much rare more aggressive cancer, Langerhans Cell Sarcoma.

Unfortunately treatment didn’t work and after 4 failed bone marrow transplants in 10 months, doctors gave Deryn just three days to live. All conventional treatment had failed and Deryn was moved to an end of life hospice. He had even planned his own funeral.
After conducting lots of research and with nothing to lose, Callie chose to give her son Cannabis Oil and he din’t die. Doctors deemed this a miracle. This was the beginning of an amazing and inspiring journey of recovery.
Callie wrote a book detailing the journey as a way to get the story across without misrepresentation.
Now days if she isn’t spending time with her two children, she is helping others and trying to spread the word of the potential benefits of Cannabis. Unsurprisingly, she believes Cannabis should be legalised and is heavily involved in Cannabis Activism.
I would highly recommend reading this truly remarkable story in her highly rated book.
