What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of a group of naturally occurring compounds that can be found in hemp and cannabis plants, known collectively as cannabinoids.

CBD can be extracted from the plant and taken as a supplement in different forms. These include oil that is taken sublingually, capsulated form to be swallowed and also in a cream, balm or muscle rub to be applied topically.

Does CBD get you high?

CBD will not get you high, the high comes from another well-known compound, THC. Any product from brands that we promote will only contain only minor trace amounts of THC that will have no psychoactive effect.

Is CBD legal?

Yes. CBD is 100% legal in the USA, E.U and the UK

Can you take CBD overseas?

CBD is currently legal within the USA and E.U therefore you would be within your rights to travel with CBD. We would suggest that you still exercise caution due to the nature of the product when travelling outside of your home country. If in any doubt then please make sure that you check with the authorities of the particular country you are travelling too.

What dosage of CBD can I take?

Please follow the guidelines on the individual products. All legitimate brands will state clear dosage information. We recommend starting low to assess your tolerance and increasing from there, as required. You should not exceed a maximum dose of 200mg of CBD per day according to currently guidelines.

Will CBD help with my illness?

There’s lots of information available in the public domain regarding the benefits of CBD. Whilst CBD supplements will benefir most people we are unable to offer any medical advice. Please consult with your doctor in relation to any particular health concerns you may have.

Can I give CBD to my pets?

Whilst there are many studies that suggest all mammals have an endocannabinoid system that could potentially benefit from a CBD food supplement we are unable to offer any advice and guidance on this.

  1. Hi there, do you have any info on contraindications of CBD oil with certain medications? I know you can’t use it with certain epilepsy and anti depressant medications and few people seem aware of this fact.
    Also, I had a friend who gave it to her dog who was in lots of pain and it really helped him, so thought you might be interested to know that 🙂

      That is a very good question and I think its one that deserves to be looked at and answered in detail. You raise a very good point that few people seem aware. I will be writing an article dedicated to this very topic shortly so please look out for that.

      With regards to CBD helping your friends dog, many studies have shown that all mammals have an Endocannabinoid system that would benefit from CBD. i’m pleased to hear it has helped your friends dog. In the UK companies are not able to directly market CBD for pets, however in the USA this isn’t the case. Hopefully this changes in the UK soon.
